Porsche Services at Advanced European Repair

Some of the services our Porsche technicians offer include:

Routine Maintenance

Keeping your Porsche at peak performance requires routine maintenance, including oil changes, fluid flushes, tune-ups and filter changes. Factory-recommended maintenance isn’t routine for us, and it shouldn’t be for you if you want to keep your Porsche running as well as it did when you first bought it. Routine maintenance also helps prevent minor issues turning into major repairs since we can catch issues before they have time to affect other components.

Comprehensive Inspections

We provide a comprehensive inspection when you bring your Porsche in for service or repairs to help minimize unexpected breakdowns and save on the cost of expensive repairs down the line. We check many things, including the brakes, tires, belts, hoses, suspension, steering, cooling system (where applicable), and exhaust. We also look for fluid leaks, including oil leaks, transmission fluid leaks, power steering, and brake fluid leaks

Common Problems with Porsche Vehicles

Common problems with Porsche vehicles that we can repair include:

Intermediate Shaft Bearing Failure

Some Porsche models – mostly the 911 model with the M96 engine – can have the intermediate shaft bearing fail, which could lead to catastrophic engine damage. Replacing the IMS bearing before it fails can prevent extremely costly repairs down the road.

Rear Main Seal Leaks

Porsche models with the flat-six engine often develop rear main seal leaks. Because of the location of the engine, repairing this seal takes longer than most repairs. Other models sometimes have issues with the crankshaft seal leaking. At Advanced European Repair, we are proactive in checking for oil leaks so we can catch them before they can cause extensive damage.

Evaporator and Condenser Leaks

The air conditioning system in Porsches sometimes develop refrigerant leaks in the evaporator and condenser. If your Porsche isn’t cooling properly, we can hunt down the leak and make the necessary repairs so you can drive in comfort on hot summer days.

Drive Belt and Tensioner Issues

The drive belt and tensioner require regular inspection as they are prone to wearing out. If you hear squeaking or squealing, or you notice the accessories, such as the air compressor and alternator, aren’t working up to par, we can check the belt and tensioner and replace them if necessary.

CV Joint and Axle Shaft Issues

In some Porsche models, the CV joints and axle shafts can wear. This leads to noise issues and vibration, especially upon acceleration. If you suspect you have a worn CV joint or axle, we can diagnose the issue and replace the axle.
